This symbolic, large-scale and complex project (deploying ~70,000 smart street lamps) saw the company play a decisive role in R&D, O&M, localization and more. It is a milestone for Hong Kong’s smart city and offers a “China Model” for global counterparts.Tailored to Hong Kong’s complex road environments (downtown, suburbs, villages), the project uses an integrated smart lighting-IoT cloud solution, covering various lighting types. It ensures “people-oriented, on-demand lighting” for each lamp, helping Hong Kong build a world-class smart lighting network.
Plug-and-play terminals connect to the cloud instantly. A visual platform shows each lamp’s status in real time, detecting faults quickly and reducing manual inspections.
AI monitors voltage and current in real time, detects faults instantly, applies zone isolation, and ensures 24/7 operation with dual data centers.
The Hong Kong smart lighting project employs three-tier data backup and an AI engine to ensure accurate alerts, predict faults, and shift lighting management from manual monitoring to intelligent, preventive operations.
Custom functions include power monitoring, flicker detection, and zone scheduling, making the system more efficient and tailored to Hong Kong’s needs.
